Project Description:
In this Foundation Studies project, students investigate ideas related to the body and time being utilized as tools to manipulate and produce objects that are residual evidence of a repeated gesture. Each student is responsible for developing a gesture or action utilizing proposed materials. These actions are based on an interaction with the material that creates some sort of mark, trace or residue. Through repetition these marks accumulate and become an object that documents the entire process.

Project Objectives:
• To consider the relationship between time, gesture and residue and their connection to the body.
• To investigate how a clearly defined process can guide the making of a work.
• To consider the impact of time and duration on the physical form of a work.
