Project Description:
In this Foundation Studies project, students investigate the relationship between an object or multiples of that object and the body in motion. This work results in a performance action with a brief duration of less than two minutes. The performance is documented in video from a fixed-camera perspective and edited into a final video with title and credits.

Project Objectives:
• To consider the relationship of objects to the body and the space they inhabit.
• To begin to think about how we frame events through the mechanism of a video camera.
• To consider video as a form of documentation or an act of remembering.
• To learn more about the power of performance action and how to think through the nuances of such events.
• To begin to learn the basics of video editing with particular attention to the way that titles and credits influence and anticipate how we read a moving image project.
