Seam (an exercise in joining) at Spaces gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, February 2000. This site-integrated sculpture was positioned in 11 windows that ran across the front of the main gallery space. Each of the windows housed a paper panel which measured approx. 3’x 8’ giving the overall dimensions of the sculpture a running length of 30’ with an 8’ height. Each paper panel was constructed by cutting small sections of a parchment-like paper that were cut and pieced in a repeated Kaleidoscope pattern using thousands of straight pins to hold the sculpture together.
